Quiet, helping, volunteering and all of the above can describe him. Shortly after joining the Orange Elks, he was named Elk of the Month. He is Al Montano. However, before joining the Elks, he was CSM  (Command Sergeant Major) Albert Montano, United States Army and Army Reserve. Recently, Al was asked to return to Camp Pendleton for an award. This was not any award but the “The Legion of Merit Award”, the fifth highest award in the Army.  Al was recognized for 40 years of service to our country.
The Elks Pledge: "So long as there are veterans, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will never forget them."
Thank you for your service! CSM Albert Montano, U S Army!
