The Orange Elks lodge over the years has supported the Orange Police Departments K 9 program.
This year, our member, Clarke Balvanz started a new program to help the Orange City Fire acquired a new dog.
The Orange City Fire Department dog will be used as a therapy dog to help the men and women that go out on traumatic calls deal with the stress of the job and may also be used on calls where residents could use a little puppy love.
Brian Hay and Lem Bucago (both Orange Elks members) of the Indian Guides/ Indian Princess program presented a $1000 donation to the lodges to help start the new Fire Dog Program.
The Elks have committed to help out with any vet bills and costs for the care of the dog. Big thanks to the Indian Guides/ Indian Princess program for their generous gift!
