All though the year, Bob thinks of ways to get the members to put their spare change into a purple piggy bank. He organizes two trips a year to Laughlin, has 52 Club and a  Century Club for donations, has a monthly turn in with “Lavish Prizes” as a reward and every once in a while has an auction.

The money is collected and turned in once a year at the California-Hawaii Elks Association State Convention. This year the Orange Lodge turned in over $24,000 as part of the $3,230,000 “The Piggy Bank March” collected. This money is used to provide free Physical Therapy, Speech - Language Therapy, Preschool Vision Screening, Scholarships, Grants and Occupational Therapy to children free of charge up to 18 years old.

On the fifth Wednesday in May, fifty three people attended the lodge for a fun night. Items you could not live without where auctioned off….. stuff you wanted to get rid of, white elephant gifts or just plain old junk were auctioned and $630 was raised for the “Pig”.
