January 30, 2013 is the 5th Wednesday of the month, so that means that this Lodge Night is also Fun Night!

We will be having an open meeting, beginning at 7:00 pm, and we want you to come to "Virginia Downs" to watch our Human Horse Racing!

Come out to see which of your Elk Brother and Sisters are thoroughbreds and which ones are ready for the glue factory!

This will be a fundraising event, with the proceeds to go 50-50 to Mary's Kitchen and the State Major Project (Purple Pig) - both in memory of Virginia "Ginny" Perez.

We will need some volunteers to help set-up and run the races, so if you are interested, please meet at the lodge around 6:00 pm that evening.

Also, we will need 36 'horses' for the races as well.

I want to thank EVERYONE that came out tonight for our Fun Night Horse Races at Virginia Downs!  :rotflmao

We had 6 races with a final Race of Champions. Congratulations to our Champion Horse, Tom Bearce PER - first to the Glue Factory!  :beer

Because of your wagers and donations, we were able to donate $237 to Mary's Kitchen and another $237 to the Purple Pig. Both in loving memory of Virginia "Ginny" Perez!  :good

Thank you all again for your support!  :jumpie  :bowdown
