There is a lyric in a song that says:

“Did your ever read about a frog who dreamed of being a king….And then became one”

As a women or child, being abused can destroy dreams.

On Nov. 10th, for one afternoon, Orange Elks are letting the Eli Home Shelter – women and children – live a dream of feeling love, getting a holiday meal, some entertainment and a small gift of choice at a Target.

We all know, to build a home you start with a foundation.  The ‘grant’ is our foundation.  To be a home of safeguard – you need bricks.  You, our members, are our bricks.

Our committee members will be going to local stores for charitable donations – if they can help.  It is anticipated we may need more help.  Therefore, if you can help, we have this Eli Home donation box to collect contributions that will be on the third floor for the next six weeks.  Fill out a donation card with your name, drop your donation into our “Eli Home Box” and together we can deliver one “Best Day” to these women and children.  (Thank you to Don and Marilyn our first two contributors.)

Brick by brick – let’s build this Eli Home Thanksgiving Dinner to be bountiful and full of love!

Thank you very much for whatever help you are able to provide.

Terrie Schatz
