Every Labor Day weekend the city of Orangeā€™s quaint plaza district hosts a three-day International Street Fair. It was estimated over 400,000 visitors attended to eat, drink and walk around. Each street running off the circular plaza is sectioned into ethnic enclaves.
Besides buying bountiful native foods from around the world, each street has its own costumes, music, entertainment and dancing. The best part of Street Fair seeing old friends. There was a main stage showcasing blues, pop, country western and R&B bands. The Orange Elks operated English Street selling Fish and Chips, selling beer, having a stage for music and pro football players signed autographs. With great help from our members and friends, the Orange Elks had another very successful event. This year our Charity Pot was sitting in our Elks Fish and Chips booth, beer booth and at the lodge and collected $3,043 that was divided between our Veterans Program,  ENF and the Purple Pig. The people who visited the Street Fair were very generous in giving and helping the ā€œElks Care and Shareā€! The proceeds from the Street Fair help the Orange Lodge fund our various projects.
