It would have been really nice if people would have shown up to support the charity tournament that Tom works really hard to get together.  So much for "support"; back in the old days the ER, PERs, and other chairs would at least show their faces for an hour or so.  My take on this is - if you can't be bothered to attend events that support the Lodge, don't run for office.  Period.

Just to clarify the officers of this lodge attend many many events.   This is a very busy time of year with Installation of officers at all other lodges that we are required to attend,  along with Ritual practice, regular Wednesday night meetings, orientation, etc.   FYI I was at the last tournament and talked to Tom Brown.  I would not generalize or make comments regarding officers unless you would like to take the time to commit to the responsibilities that we take on.  Most officers are at the lodge approx. 4 - 5 nights a week and unfortunately cannot attend all events.
