Once a month, the Santiago Creek Greenway Alliance cleans Santiago Creek. In addition to picking up trash, they cut down invasive non-native plants.
The goal is to improve public use of Santiago Creek.Orange Elks, Kim Smith and Marc Kenton along with the Orange High School JROTC collected a lot trash!
The Cleaver Crew, a group of Elks who love to cook, delivered a $400 check to Mrs. Schmitt at Villa Park HS, she works with special needs and at-risk youth. They will be using the donation as part of a culinary experience, where a chef will come to their school and cook them an amazing meal in person, and teach them an important life skill in hopes of getting them interested in the culinary arts.
