Del Mar Beach at Camp Pendleton was the site of the annual Summer Barbarque Beach Bash for the 7th Engineer Support Battalion and their families. This is the fifth year that the Orange Elks have joined the Pete's Firehouse guys.

Pete’s team comes from all parts of Southern Cal. For this special event, his crew shows up the night before to cook pork butts and beef brisket for sandwiches. Our work area.

On the day of the BBQ, Â chicken is grilled, hot dogs are cooked, baked beans prepared, coleslaw mixed, and watermelon cut. Drinks and chips are also handed out.
Twenty nine members from the Orange Lodge served lunch to over nine hundred Marine and Navy personnel their families and friends.

The Commanding Officer of the 7th Engineer Support Battalion Lieutenant Colonel E A Day stopped by to personally thank the group for supporting this event. You are a bunch of great folks in orange shirts and you are doing what you love to do best! The Lt. Colonel is in the black shirt in the front row.
