In a speech given by Past Grand Exalted Ruler Thomas Brazier, he said that every Elk has something to give...whether it be Time, Treasure or Talent. This weekend at the Orange Lodge we saw an abundance of all three! Our lodge chairmen for Christmas Baskets Jim Jung and Colin Smith started early this year.

Our lodge members donated over $9,000.  Paul Roper donated all the produce for the baskets while Jason Wilkerson donated 200 boxes used for packing the boxes. Discounts were to the club from various stores which helped making the Christmas Baskets. On Friday the Caldera’s kitchen crew prepared an Italian Dinner for over 165 Lodge members, family and friends.

After dinner it was off to the lodge room to pack 200 Christmas baskets with food. Saturday morning Elks members and their families and friends delivered the baskets. The best part of that was seeing the families who received the baskets reactions!

Leftovers from the evening before were delivered  the Homeless Veterans Manor House in Santa Ana. The extra produce was given to Mary’s Kitchen in Orange which feeds homeless people.

Around the lodge at Christmas E.N.F means an “Extra Nice Feeling” and the B.P.O.E. are the “Best People On Earth”!
