As a heads up, I'm donating a classic Ital-Vega road bike for the Purple Pig Auction on 1/29. Â The bike was manufactured in Italy in the early to mid-1970s, and has the original top-of-the-line Campagnolo parts -- including the Gran Turismo derailluer system. Â With the help of Dale Fairchild, I have restored this bike to excellent working condition, with new brake pads, tires and handlebar tape.
If you know people who value classic machines like this, let them know it will be available. Â There are not many of them around anymore. Â Due to the quality and scarcity of this bike, there will be a minimum bid of $100, which is a real bargain. See you on Wednesday to raise some significant funds for the kids!
