The Elks Care and the Elks Share! The Orange Elks Lodge cares about our active service men, our veterans and dogs.  During the year we support many veterans’ events and activities and have helped our police department with the purchase of several police dogs. Our lodge donated $1,000 to the Patriots and Paws.
The Mission of Patriots and Paws is to help those who have served their country and are now are in need. The group provides active military and veterans and their families with home furnishings. In addition, they can unite them with a rescued companion animal. These animals are have all their current shots and will receive three months supply of food.
Around your home you might have home furnishings that you can donate. These denotations will be available to our veterans. It can be something as simple as a couch, night stand, dining room table or even silverware. We all have things that we no longer need and it could be something that makes a huge difference to a veteran, something to make them have a home.
Rescued animals make great companion pets. The animals will help provide companionship for those and they help relieve post-traumatic stress disorder.
