Every year members from the Orange Elks Lodge go to Mary’s Kitchen to cook a turkey dinner for the homeless and those in need.  This year was a little different, a storm dropped a record amount of rain amount. But that didn’t stop twelve members from the lodge, eight cooked 21 turkeys and four more members helped prepare all the fixins.

Each December the Orange Elks Lodge members show up at 6:30 am and cook turkeys for Mary’s Kitchen. This year was no different. For the seventh year, eleven members cooked 26 turkeys that were provided by our Lodges Tuesday Night Meal Deals cooking crew. Mary’s Kitchen feeds the homeless and those in need. The dinners with all the trimmings fed over 200 people. According to Orange Elks member and Mary’s Kitchen volunteer, Sue Siegal, Mary’s Kitchen has seen a large increase in meals served.
