Dear Brothers & Sisters,

The Christmas visit to the Veteran's Hospital was a great success. Our own Assistant Inner Guard, Dennis Winn, jumped right in and helped a couple of vets with their bingo cards. He fit in so well that some of the Elks from other lodges tried to give him free blankets and clothes. As always, we had a great time and the vets really appreciated our visit.

Bob Genelle's spaghetti dinner for everyone packing Christmas boxes was also a huge success, with an estimated 200 people showing up to eat, have fun and pack boxes. It was an overflow crowd, and a big group moved upstairs afterwards so the bar was hopping well into the evening.

On Friday January 2nd, we're having a fish fry with Tommy Vann hosting a karaoke night. Tommy puts on a great show, and it will be a fun evening with a bunch of Elks crooning away (hopefully in-tune). Also that night is a Camper Club meeting, and the club is having a campout the weekend of the 16th. For all of you new members, we have lots of fun working in the kitchen and volunteering for even one dinner a month will give you an opportunity to meet our members.

Don't forget the VFW breakfast on Sunday the 4th. A great deal for a great cause. Tommy Brown's pool tourneys on the 2nd and 16th at 8:30 p.m., and on the 10th at 2:00 p.m.

Fraternally yours,
Phil Moore, Esteemed Lecturing Knight
