Greetings Members, The Elk of the month for January is Jean Johansen. Jean is very active at our Lodge behind the scenes. She sends get well cards to those members that are ailing and is the one responsible for the wonderful scrap book that can be seen in the Club Room by the guest register. Be sure to attend our first meeting this year as nominations and election of the Esteemed Loyal Knight will be on January 7th. A reminder that Old timers night is scheduled for January 21st, come on down and meet the many members that have been active in our order for many years. This is always a fun meeting and opportunity to reminisce of times past. We are expecting a 60 year member as well as some 55 year members to receive awards. We are three quarters of the way through the Elk's year and all of our expectations have been exceeded this far. We are extremely lucky to have so many dedicated Elks willing to sacrifice their time and money to support the many important Elk programs. Our Lodge is in good shape financially and membership is up. Orange Lodge continues to prove itself as one of the best Lodges in Elkdom. Fraternally yours, |
