“As long as there is a Veteran the Orange Elks will never forget”. In the last couple of years,  our lodge has supported many programs for our Veterans that have included Blind Veterans Lunches,  participated in the Tri-City Memorial Day Program, played Bingo with the Veterans at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital, packed and sent care packages overseas, donated to Family Promise, held an    Am-Vet Clothing drive, participated in the Stand Down,  sent meals and supported the Broadway and Manor Houses in Santa Ana, served lunches to our Wounded Warriors and helped serve lunches at the Annual Beach Bash on Camp Pendleton, awarded $1475 scholarships to a local veterans from Orange and donated to the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation to name a few of the things.
This year our members became involved with the Fisher House in Long Beach.

The Fisher House is a home where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while their loved one is receiving treatment. Our Veterans Committee donated $1,000 to the Fisher House and gathered items to help furnish the home. Recently our members showed up and cooked a lavish dinner for the families that were there.

Over thirty residents and their families residing at the Fisher house enjoyed he dinner. John was one of them.
