“Thank you for serving our county and defending our lives, liberties and freedom. We are truly grateful for you". Orange Elks Lodge # 1475 is very active in supporting Veterans. Several times each year the lodge visits the VA Hospital in Long Beach to plays bingo. Our Lodge provides cash prizes for the games along with cookies, drinks, toiletry items, back packs, books and magazines. All of these gifts are the result of this very successful omelet bar. This year the Lodge is helping support the Broadway and Manor House ( for men) and the Maddock House ( for women). These are Transitional Houses for Homeless Veterans. Some of these veterans are employable and some are disabled. In five years the Omelet Bar Breakfast has raised over $14,500. The generous donations from the Elks have been a major part of the success the Lodge’s Veterans Committee  headed by Brian and Stephanie Fitzpatrick.

This year the lodge handed out the "Orange Hero's Scholarships" for $1475 to Adonay Silva, USMC. Adonay served two tours of duty in Iraq. This award goes to continuing his education. In the last two years, the lodge has awarded $3,475.
