The Orange Elks have many programs that serve our young people.
Two of the lodges? favorites are the soccer shoot and the hoop shoot.
Soccer Shoot and Hoop Shoot Chairmen Steve Baez organized the events.

Soccer is one of the fastest growing youth sports in the United States.
The Elks Soccer Shoot is for boys and girls U-8, U-10, U-12 & U-14. Each age group has a different size goal to shoot at to gain points and to that test their skills. Twenty-nine participated.

The Hoop Shoot is a free throw contest where each participant is scored on how many baskets are made from twenty-five shots. The contest is for boys and girls 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13. Twenty-four participated. The first, second and third place winners will advance to the Orange Coast District competition.

In May, the winners of the Soccer Shoot and Hoop Shoot will receive their trophy at our Youth Appreciation Night.
Each participant left with a gift. The gifts could have been a World Cup replica soccer ball, Hoop shoot basketball, a gift card to local business or a World Cup Soccer lanyard.
