Over the years, the Orange Elks Lodge has partnered with the Down Syndrome Association of OC (DSAofOC) to help with a Down Syndrome Family Picnic and Buddy Walk. The event in the past was held at the Irvine Regional Park.
Along came Covid-19 and the picnic was cancelled. Last year we were able to participate in the DSAofOCs Buddy Walk & Family drive through.
This year the Elks and several other groups were able to help with the Down Syndrome Association of OC Buddy Walk / Family Picnic at the Santa Ana Zoo.

Twenty-five Orange Elks and family members came out to help make it a great picnic.
We are cooked hotdogs, helped doing crafts, had a mini soccer shoot, played corn hole, tried hula hoops, helped with the face painter, and more. Team Elroy was there escorting the Star Wars characters.

We went home tired but helping the Down Syndrome Association of OC is always at the top of the list as a favorite event!
