The Orange Elks have been helping dogs for several years. It might be donating to Service Dogs or Patriotic Service Dogs.
Or the helping the Orange P. D. purchase a K9. Since 2006 the lodge has raised over $40,000 and purchase six police dog.
A couple of years ago Orange set up a fund to help pay the medical bills for the retired Orange P. D.’s retired dogs.
However, Auroara Riederich  and Julie Roberts-Sutton two of our newest  members decided to turn the lodge room into a room for a Dog Show. Twenty dogs showed up with their owners. They walked their dogs on a red carpet and had the dogs show off their tricks. A special thanks to Sandy’s Grooming and Nohl Ranch Animal Hospital for the goodie bags with all cool stuff. Several business donated gift cards. In case a “dog fight” a veterinarian was on hand just.
Three gift baskets were award that included things a dog would like and a gift cards for the their owner. to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.
First place went to Amy Carr and Bash, a toy poodle and Auroara.
