This is the fifth year working with CHOC in conjunction with the Wildcard Foundation. Colin Smith, chairmen, coordinated the effort in raising the money, obtaining the items and assembling the baskets. The baskets included a bubble wand, coloring books, assorted playing cards, jumbo crayons, play-doh, glow stick bracelets, marker sets and a Solar Dancing Ducks.

The “Wildcrd Army” was started by Rich and Stephanie Hunter to honor and remember their son Nixon.  They are members of the Orange lodge and formed  the Wildcard Army. The Wildcard Army has been assisting families in need and the Orange Elks have helped them do that! Here is the web site, http://www.nixonwildcardhunter.com.

When the Elks find out about events like these, they get involved, and the saying “Elks Care and Elks Share” makes you proud that you are an Orange Elk!
