In 1907 the Elks Grand Lodge designated June 14 as Flag Day and the Elks were the first fraternal organization to observe Flag Day. The Orange Elks were chartered in 1923 and have had a Flag Day Celebration program each year. This year was no exception. Chairmen Don Westerfield presented a fun filled program that was enthusiastic, patriotic, foot stomping and lots of singing to highlight the evening.

The many flags that are in the lodge room include the Pine Tree Flag, the Snake Flag, the Continental Flag, the Betsy Ross Flag, the Bennington Flag, the 15 Stars and Stripes Flag, the 20 Stars and Stripe Flag, the 48 Stars and Stripe Flag and the current 50 Stars and Stripes Flag. The POW MIA Flag is above the Leading Knight station.
