Since 2006, Orange Elk member Mike Duff has been the chairmen of the Police Dog Fund Committee and has raised over $26,000 to help the Orange Police Department purchase police dogs. The Elks help their community in many different ways and helping the police department to purchase the dogs is one of them. Raising the $5000.00 for the purchase was easy.  Monday and Tuesday night meal deals at the lodge, the doggy buckets, auctions, car washes by our lodge member’s children at their schools and donations from our generous lodge members helped make it easy. Â
Meet Griffin, aka Griff! He is the newest K-9 police dog for the Orange P D. He is a Dutch Shepard and his handler is Jude King. Griff is the fifth dog the Orange Elks helped purchase.
