The Orange Elks Lodge #1475 has a very successful scouting program. On the boys side we have a Boy Scout Troop, a Webelo Den, a Cub Scout Pack and a Tiger Cub Pack. The troop number for all four is 1475. Our Scouting program is under the leadership of Orange Elks member Scott Gow who was an Eagle Scout. Our Girl Scout Program is led by Orange Elks member Theresa Beach who oversees a Girl Scout Troop, a Girl Scout Brownie Group and a Girl Scout Daisies Group.
Each year the lodge budgets funds for the Scout through the lodge charities. These funds help pay for the scout fees, uniforms, neckerchiefs, badges and also help pay for scout outings. The Lodge had an extremely good year and donated another $2,000. In addition, lodge member Steve Weaver organizes Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Night Meal Deals and was able to contribute over $1,600 for the Scouts.
